31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you ^labide in my word, ^myou are truly my disciples,

22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, ^xprovided you continue in his kindness. ^yOtherwise you too will be cut off.

The Resurrection of Christ

1 Now I would remind you, brothers,¹ of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, ^tif you hold fast to the word I preached to you—^uunless you believed ^vin vain.

23 ^uif indeed you continue in the faith, ^vstable and ^wsteadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation¹ under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a ^xminister.

24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will ^babide in the Son and in the Father.
