5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that ^mevery intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

21 And when the Lord smelled the ^qpleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, ^r“I will never again curse¹ the ground because of man, for ^sthe intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. ^tNeither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.

11 Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, ^jthe heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.
