Descendants of David

1 ^uThese are the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, ^vAmnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, Daniel, by ^wAbigail the Carmelite, 2 the third, ^xAbsalom, whose mother was Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur; the fourth, ^yAdonijah, whose mother was Haggith; 3 the fifth, Shephatiah, by Abital; the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah; 4 six were born to him in Hebron, ^zwhere he reigned for seven years and six months. And he reigned thirty-three years ^ain Jerusalem. 5 ^bThese were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and ^cSolomon, four by Bath-shua, the daughter of Ammiel; 6 then Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. 9 All these were David’s sons, besides the sons of the concubines, and ^dTamar was their sister.

3 And David took ^hmore wives in Jerusalem, and David fathered more sons and daughters. 4 ⁱThese are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, 5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, 6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 7 Elishama, Beeliada and Eliphelet.

24 All the leaders and the ^qmighty men, and also all the ^rsons of King David, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.
