21  ^mWhoever despises his neighbor is a sinner,

but ⁿblessed is he who is generous to the poor.

15  He who justifies the wicked and he who ^dcondemns the righteous

are both alike an abomination to the Lord.

9  Whoever has a bountiful¹ eye will be blessed,

for ^khe shares his bread with the poor.

16  Whoever ^roppresses the poor to increase his own wealth,

or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.

27  ^sWhoever gives to the poor will not want,

but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse.
