21  Whoever ^gdespises his neighbor is a sinner,

but ^hblessed is he who is generous to the poor.

31  Whoever oppresses a poor man ^winsults his ^xMaker,

^ybut he who is generous to the needy honors him.

7  ^jAll a poor man’s brothers hate him;

^khow much more do his friends go far from him!

He pursues them with words, but does not have them.¹

21  To show ^kpartiality is not good,
