7 ^d“And when you pray, do not ^eheap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their ^fmany words. 8 Do not be like them, ^gfor your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this:

31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and ^dyour heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 ^eBut seek first the kingdom of God and his ^frighteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about ^gtomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
