31 uAnd he began to teach them that vthe Son of Man must wsuffer many things and xbe rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and yafter three days rise again. 32 And he said this zplainly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33 But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, aGet behind me, Satan! For you bare not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.

And Jesus said to them, lThe cup that I drink myou will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, nyou will be baptized, 40 but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, obut it is for those for whom it has been pprepared. 41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John. 42 qAnd Jesus called them to him and said to them, You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles rlord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 43 But sit shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,1 44 and whoever would be first among you must be tslave2 of all.
