12 But to all who did receive him, ^twho believed ^uin his name, he gave the right to become ^vchildren of God, 13 who were ^wborn, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

63 ^cIt is the Spirit who gives life; ^dthe flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are ^espirit and ^flife. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For ^gJesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) 65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me ^hunless it is granted him by the Father.”
