1 ^v“Let not your hearts be troubled. ^wBelieve in God;^{1 x}believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?² 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, ^yI will come again and will take you to myself, that ^zwhere I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”³ 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, ^a“I am the way, and the truth, and the ^blife. ^cNo one comes to the Father ^dexcept through me.

15 ^q“If you ^rlove me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will ^sgive you another ^tHelper,¹ to be with you forever, 17 even the ^uSpirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be² in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will ^bkeep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our ^chome with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.
