63 ^cIt is the Spirit who gives life; ^dthe flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are ^espirit and ^flife. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For ^gJesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep ^ghear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

11 I am ^pthe good shepherd. The good shepherd ^qlays down his life for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd. ^uI know my own and my own know me, 15 just as ^vthe Father knows me and ^wI know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have ^xother sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and ^ythey will listen to my voice. So there will be ^zone flock, ^aone shepherd. 17 For this reason ^bthe Father loves me, because I lay down my life ^cthat I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This ^dcharge I have received from my Father.”

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name ^mbear witness about me, 26 but ⁿyou do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep ^ohear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I ^pgive them eternal life, and they will never perish, and ^qno one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, ^rwho has given them to me,¹ is ^sgreater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 ^tI and the Father are one.”
