24 you shall ^dnot bow down to their gods nor serve them, ^enor do as they do, but ^fyou shall utterly overthrow them and break their ^gpillars in pieces. 25 You ^hshall serve the Lord your God, and ⁱhe¹ will bless your bread and your water, and ^jI will take sickness away from among you.

13 You shall ^utear down their altars and ^vbreak their pillars and cut down their ^wAsherim 14 (for ^xyou shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),

17 ^b“You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal.

52 then ^tyou shall drive out ^uall the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their ^vfigured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places.

5 But thus shall you deal with them: ⁿyou shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their ⁿpillars and chop down their ⁿAsherim and ^oburn their carved images with fire.

3 You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces ^ftheir pillars and burn their ^gAsherim with fire. You shall chop down the carved images of their gods and ^hdestroy their name out of that place.

22 And you shall not set up a pillar, which the Lord your God hates.

4 ^mHe removed the high places and broke the ⁿpillars and cut down ^othe Asherah. And he broke in pieces ^pthe bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the people of Israel had made offerings to it (it was called Nehushtan).¹ 5 ^qHe trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel, ^rso that there was none like him among all the kings of Judah after him, nor among those who were before him.

18 ^lNo one has ever seen God; ^mGod the only Son, who¹ is at the Father’s side,^{2 n}he has made him known.
