12 For who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days of his ^evain¹ life, which he passes like ^fa shadow? For who can tell man what will be ^gafter him under the sun?

9 Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your ⁿvain¹ life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your ^oportion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.

8 So if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember ^othat the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is ^pvanity.¹
