5 eNot because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm fthe word that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Psalm 103:17–18

and bremember to do his commandments.
Psalm 105:8–11
8 He eremembers his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded, for fa thousand generations,
9 gthe covenant that he made with Abraham,
his hsworn promise to Isaac,
10 which he confirmed to iJacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 saying, j“To you I will give the land of Canaan
as kyour portion for an inheritance.”

41 He opened the rock, and awater gushed out;

43 So he brought his people out with joy,

44 And he fgave them the lands of the nations,
and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil,
45 that they might gkeep his statutes
and hobserve his laws.
