9 ^f“Only take care, and ^gkeep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. ^hMake them known to your children and your children’s children— 10 how on ⁱthe day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me, ^j‘Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, ^kso that they may learn to fear ^lme all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’

10 And Moses commanded them, ^t“At the end of every seven years, at the set time in the year of release, at ^uthe Feast of Booths, 11 when all Israel comes ^vto appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose, ^wyou shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12 ^xAssemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law, 13 and that their children, ^ywho have not known it, ^zmay hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, ^aas long as you live in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”
