A Call to Return to the Lord

1 In the eighth month, in the second year of ^aDarius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet ^bZechariah, the son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, saying,

35 so that ^zon you may come all the ^arighteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous ^bAbel to the blood of ^cZechariah the son of Barachiah,¹ whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.

51 from the blood of ^uAbel to the blood of ^vZechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.
