Qualifications for Elders
5 oThis is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and pappoint elders in every town as I directed you—
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, wanointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
23 And when they had pappointed qelders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting rthey committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
17 Let the elders zwho rule well be considered worthy of adouble honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.
Paul Speaks to the Ephesian Elders
17 Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called ithe elders of the church to come to him.
30 dAnd they did so, sending it to ethe elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
2 And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and cdebate with them, Paul and Barnabas and dsome of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to ethe apostles and the elders about this question.
4 jWhen they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and kthe apostles and the elders, and gthey declared all that God had done with them.
18 On the following day Paul went in with us to mJames, and all nthe elders were present.
