Peace with God Through Faith

1 ^aTherefore, since we have been justified by faith, ^bwe¹ have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also ^cobtained access by faith² into this grace ^din which we stand, and ^ewe³ rejoice⁴ in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only that, but we ^frejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering ^gproduces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and ^hhope does not put us to shame, because God’s love ⁱhas been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

6 Jesus said to him, “I am ^lthe way, and ^mthe truth, and ⁿthe life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

7 Show yourself in all respects to be ^ya model of good works, and in your teaching ^zshow integrity, ^adignity, 8 and ^bsound speech that cannot be condemned, ^cso that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. 9 ^dBondservants¹ are to be submissive to their own masters ^ein everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, ^fbut showing all good faith, ^gso that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

33 but ^pwhoever denies me before men, ^qI also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Not Peace, but a Sword

34 ^r“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. ^sI have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Submission to the Authorities

1 Let every person ^pbe subject to the governing authorities. For ^qthere is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

The Time of the End

1 “At that time shall arise ^aMichael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And ^bthere shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, ^ceveryone whose name shall be found written in the book.
