23 for ^fall have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 ^gand are justified ^hby his grace as a gift, ⁱthrough the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

12 Therefore, just as ^tsin came into the world through one man, and ^udeath through sin, and ^vso death spread to all men¹ because ^wall sinned—

8 ^sIf we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and ^tthe truth is not in us. 9 ^uIf we confess our sins, he is ^vfaithful and just to forgive us our sins and ^rto cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, ^wwe make him a liar, and ^xhis word is not in us.

17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness ^ereign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

10 For if ^pwhile we were enemies ^qwe were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by ^rhis life.

18 Therefore, as one trespass¹ led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness² leads to justification and life for ^fall men.

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another ^dHelper,¹ to be with you forever,

6 So we can confidently say,

28 ^oI give them eternal life, and ^pthey will never perish, and ^qno one will snatch them out of my hand.

26 “But ^swhen the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, ^the will bear witness about me.

7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for ^hif I do not go away, ⁱthe Helper will not come to you. But ^jif ^kI go, ^lI will send him to you.

4 And Jesus said to her, ^k“Woman, ^lwhat does this have to do with me? ^mMy hour has not yet come.”
