Romans 7:7

The Law and Sin

7 nWhat then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! oYet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, p“You shall not covet.”

Deuteronomy 7:25

25 The carved images of their gods you shall lburn with fire. You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be ensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Proverbs 12:12

12  Whoever is wicked ecovets the spoil of evildoers,

but the root of the righteous bears fruit.

Ephesians 5:5

5 zFor you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous a(that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
