Psalm 8

How Majestic Is Your Name

To the choirmaster: according to The pGittith.1 A Psalm of David.

O Lord, our Lord,

how majestic is your qname in all the earth!

You have set your rglory above the heavens.

sOut of the mouth of babies and infants,

you have established tstrength because of your foes,

to still uthe enemy and the avenger.

When I vlook at your heavens, the work of your wfingers,

the moon and the stars, xwhich you have set in place,

ywhat is man that you are zmindful of him,

and athe son of man that you bcare for him?

Yet you have made him a little lower than cthe heavenly beings2

and crowned him with dglory and honor.

You have given him edominion over the works of your hands;

fyou have put all things under his feet,

all sheep and oxen,

and also the beasts of the field,

the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,

whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

O Lord, our Lord,

how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 93

The Lord Reigns

cThe Lord reigns; he is drobed in majesty;

the Lord is erobed; he has fput on strength as his belt.

gYes, the world is established; hit shall never be moved.

iYour throne is established from of old;

jyou are from everlasting.

kThe floods have lifted up, O Lord,

the floods have lifted up their voice;

the floods lift up their roaring.

Mightier than the thunders of many waters,

mightier than the waves of the sea,

lthe Lord mon high is mighty!

Your ndecrees are very trustworthy;

oholiness befits your house,

O Lord, forevermore.

Psalm 145

oOne generation shall commend your works to another,

and shall declare your mighty acts.

On pthe glorious splendor of your majesty,

and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.

They shall speak of qthe might of your awesome deeds,

and I will declare your greatness.

They shall pour forth the fame of your rabundant goodness

and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

The Lord is sgracious and merciful,

slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

The Lord is tgood to all,

and his mercy is over all that he has made.

10  uAll your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,

14  The Lord aupholds all who are falling

and braises up all who are bowed down.

15  The eyes of all clook to you,

18  The Lord is hnear to all who call on him,

to all who call on him iin truth.

19  He jfulfills the desire of those who fear him;

he also khears their cry and saves them.

20  The Lord lpreserves all who love him,

but all the wicked he will destroy.

21  My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,

and mlet all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
