13  ^tbefore the Lord, for he comes,

for he comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness,

and the peoples in his faithfulness.

and the peoples with equity.

6  He will execute ^cjudgment among the nations,

filling them with corpses;

he will ^dshatter chiefs¹

over the wide earth.

4  He shall judge between the nations,

and shall decide disputes for many peoples;

and they shall beat their ^mswords into plowshares,

and their spears into pruning hooks;

ⁿnation shall not lift up sword against nation,

neither shall they learn war anymore.

13  The Lord has taken his place to contend;

he stands to judge peoples.
