9  Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,

and may you establish the righteous—

you who ^atest ^bthe minds and hearts,¹

O righteous God!

2  ^tProve me, O Lord, and try me;

test my heart and ^umy mind.¹

20  But, O Lord of hosts, who judges righteously,

who ^etests ^fthe heart and the mind,

^glet me see your vengeance upon them,

for to you have I committed my cause.

10  ⁱ“I the Lord search the heart

^jand test the mind,¹

^kto give every man according to his ways,

according to the fruit of his deeds.”
