Psalm 7:9; Psalm 119:137; Psalm 145:17; Ezra 9:15; Nehemiah 9:8; Jeremiah 12:1; Daniel 9:7

Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,

and may you establish the righteous

you who atest bthe minds and hearts,1

O righteous God!

Tsadhe

137  hRighteous are you, O Lord,

and right are your rules.

17  The Lord is frighteous in all his ways

and gkind in all his works.

15 O Lord, the God of Israel, you are just, for we are left a eremnant that has escaped, as it is today. Behold, we are before you in our hguilt, ifor none can stand before you because of this.

lYou found his heart faithful before you, mand made with him the covenant to give to his offspring nthe land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite. oAnd you have kept your promise, for you are righteous.

Jeremiah's Complaint

12  mRighteous are you, O Lord,

when I complain to you;

yet I would plead my case before you.

nWhy does the way of the wicked prosper?

Why do all owho are treacherous thrive?

To you, pO Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, qthose who are near and qthose who are far away, in rall the lands to which you have driven them, because of sthe treachery that they have committed against you.
