5  For in death there is no remembrance of you;

in Sheol ^ywho will give you praise?

9  “What profit is there in my death,¹

if I go down to the pit?²

^oWill the dust praise you?

Will it tell of your faithfulness?

17  ^eThe dead do not praise the Lord,

nor do any who go down into silence.

18  For ^xSheol does not thank you;

death does not praise you;

^ythose who go down to the pit do not hope

for your faithfulness.
