My Soul Thirsts for You
A Psalm of David, awhen he was in the wilderness of Judah.
1 O God, you are my God; bearnestly I seek you;
cmy soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
6 I stretch out my hands to you;
emy soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
The Compassion of the Lord
1 z“Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
13 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but jwhoever drinks of the water that I will give him kwill never be thirsty again.1 The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
35 Jesus said to them, x“I am the bread of life; whoever ycomes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me zshall never thirst.
