5  The Lord is ^omy chosen portion and my cup;

you hold my lot.

4  One thing have I asked of the Lord,

that will I seek after:

^zthat I may ^adwell in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life,

to ^bgaze upon the beauty of the Lord

and to inquire¹ in his temple.

26  My flesh and my heart may fail,

but God is the strength¹ of my heart and ^mmy portion forever.

5  I cry to you, O Lord;

I say, “You are my refuge,

^umy portion in the land of the living.”
