8  the Lord opens the eyes of the blind.

The Lord ^elifts up those who are bowed down;

the Lord loves the righteous.

5  Then ^zthe eyes of the blind shall be opened,

and the ears of the deaf unstopped;

7  ^kto open the eyes that are blind,

^lto bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,

from the prison those who sit in darkness.

18  ^c“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

because he has anointed me

to proclaim ^dgood news to the poor.

He has ^esent me to proclaim liberty to the captives

and recovering of sight to the blind,
