26  ^vTo impose a fine on a righteous man is not good,

nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.

5  It is not good to ^bbe partial to¹ the wicked

or to ^cdeprive the righteous of justice.

8  The way of the guilty ^mis crooked,

but the conduct of the pure is upright.
