Proverbs 18:24; Proverbs 27:10; Ruth 1:16; Job 6:14

24  A man of many companions may come to ruin,

but zthere is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

10  Do not forsake your friend and hyour father’s friend,

and do not go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity.

iBetter is a neighbor who is near

than a brother who is far away.

16 But Ruth said, Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. mYour people shall be my people, and your God my God.

14  He who ewithholds1 kindness from a ffriend

forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
