Proverbs 18:11

11  lA rich man’s wealth is his strong city,

and like a high wall in his imagination.

Psalm 52:7

See the man who would not make

God his refuge,

but ltrusted in the abundance of his riches

and sought refuge in his own destruction!1

Mark 10:24–25

24 And the disciples hwere amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, iChildren, jhow difficult it is1 to enter gthe kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter gthe kingdom of God.
