5  Let the wise hear and ^hincrease in learning,

and the one who understands obtain guidance,

13  ^xBlessed is the one who finds wisdom,

and the one who gets understanding,

6  A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain,

but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.

8  Whoever ^mgets sense loves his own soul;

he who keeps understanding will discover good.
