Philippians 3:7–14

7 But whatever fgain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 Indeed, gI count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. hFor his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a irighteousness of my own that comes from the law, but jthat which comes through kfaith in Christ, the lrighteousness from God that depends on faith— 10 that I may know him and the mpower of his resurrection, and may nshare his sufferings, obecoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may pattain the resurrection from the dead.

Straining Toward the Goal

12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already qperfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: rforgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 sI press on toward the goal for the tprize of the upward ucall of God in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 28:18–20

18 And Jesus came and said to them, k“All lauthority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and mmake disciples of nall nations, baptizing them in1 the oname of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am pwith you always, to the end of the age.”
