20 But cour citizenship is in heaven, and dfrom it we eawait a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who will transform four lowly body gto be like his glorious body, hby the power that enables him even ito subject all things to himself.
26 And above the expanse over their heads there was tthe likeness of a throne, tin appearance ulike sapphire;1 and seated above the likeness of a throne was va likeness with a human appearance. 27 And wupward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were xgleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and ythere was brightness around him.2 28 Like the appearance of zthe bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around.
Such was the appearance of the likeness of athe glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, bI fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
18 And we all, with unveiled face, tbeholding uthe glory of the Lord,1 vare being transformed into the same image wfrom one degree of glory to another.2 For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
2 Beloved, we are zGod’s children cnow, and what we will be dhas not yet appeared; but we know that ewhen he appears1 fwe shall be like him, because gwe shall see him as he is.
16 pThey shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
qthe sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.
3 And they sing xthe song of Moses, ythe servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
z“Great and amazing are your deeds,
O Lord God the Almighty!
aJust and true are your ways,
O King of the nations!1
