11  ^hOn the day that you stood aloof,

ⁱon the day that strangers carried off his wealth

and foreigners entered his gates

and ^jcast lots for Jerusalem,

you were like one of them.

10  Yet ^gshe became an exile;

she went into captivity;

^hher infants were dashed in pieces

at the head of every street;

for her honored men ⁱlots were cast,

and all her great men were bound in chains.
