54 You shall inherit the land ^fby lot according to your clans. ^gTo a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, ⁿ“This is the land that you shall inherit ^oby lot, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe.

23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses. And Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel ^qaccording to their tribal allotments. ^rAnd the land had rest from war.

2 Their inheritance was ^gby lot, just as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses for the ^hnine and one-half tribes.
