2 “Command the people of Israel that they ⁱput out of the camp everyone who is leprous¹ or has ^ja discharge and everyone who is ^kunclean through contact with the dead.

14 But the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but ^bspit in her face, should she not be shamed seven days? Let her be ^cshut outside the camp seven days, and after that she may be brought in again.” 15 So Miriam ^dwas shut outside the camp seven days, and the people did not set out on the march till Miriam was brought in again.

The Syrians Flee

3 Now there were four men who were lepers^{1 i}at the entrance to the gate. And they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?

5 ^zAnd the Lord touched the king, so that he was a leper¹ to the day of his death, ^aand he lived in a separate house.² And Jotham the king’s son was over the household, governing the people of the land.

21 ^xAnd King Uzziah was a leper to the day of his death, and being a leper lived ^yin a separate house, for he was excluded from the house of the Lord. And Jotham his son was over the king’s household, governing the people of the land.

12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers,^{1 l}who stood at a distance
