4 And the Lord said to Moses, “Take all the chiefs of the people and ^ohang¹ them in the sun before the Lord, ^pthat the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.”

17 ^mNone of the devoted things shall stick to your hand, that the Lord may ⁿturn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy and have compassion on you and ^omultiply you, as he swore to your fathers,

10 Now it is in my heart to ^gmake a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel, in order that his fierce anger may turn away from us.
