13 and it shall be to him and to his descendants after him the covenant of a ^yperpetual priesthood, because he was ^zjealous for his God and made atonement for the people of Israel.’”

10 He said, “I have been very jealous for the Lord, the God of hosts. ^vFor the people of Israel have ^wforsaken your covenant, ^xthrown down your altars, and ^ykilled your prophets with the sword, and ^zI, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.”

3 ^y“I am a ^zJew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of ^aGamaliel¹ according to the ^bstrict manner of the law of our fathers, being ^czealous for God as all of you are this day.

2 For I bear them witness that they have a ^wzeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
