8 and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the ^yfortress of the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall occupy.” And the king granted me what I asked, for ^zthe good hand of my God was upon me.

20 Then I replied to them, “The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but ⁱyou have no portion or right or claim¹ in Jerusalem.”

14 And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, ^t“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is ^ugreat and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

20 In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will ^vfight for us.”
