The Death of John the Baptist

1 ^uAt that time Herod the tetrarch heard about the fame of Jesus,

28 And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.

45 ^tBut he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.

Jesus Begins His Ministry

14 ^wAnd Jesus returned in the ^xpower of the Spirit to Galilee, and a ^yreport about him went out through all the surrounding country.

37 And ^treports about him went out into every place in the surrounding region.

15 ^mBut now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities.

17 And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.
