19 nEvery tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

And he said to the vinedresser, Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. uCut it down. Why should it use up the ground?

Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.

tEvery branch in me that does not bear fruit uhe takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, vthat it may bear more fruit.

If anyone does not abide in me che is thrown away like a branch and withers; dand the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
