22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the ^ocares of the world and the ^pdeceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

19 but the ^qcares of the world and the ^rdeceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the ^zcares and ^ariches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

2 ^qEvery branch in me ^rthat does not ^sbear fruit ^the takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

8 For if these qualities¹ are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or ^lunfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
