oBut pbe on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten qin synagogues, and you will stand before rgovernors and skings for my sake, tto bear witness before them.

23 But rbe on guard; sI have told you all things beforehand.

33 lBe on guard, mkeep awake.1 For you do not know when the time will come.

For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: pDo not let your prophets and qyour diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream,1

wLet no one xdeceive you with empty words, for because of these things ythe wrath of God comes upon zthe sons of disobedience.

See to it that no one takes you captive by nphilosophy and oempty deceit, according to phuman tradition, according to the qelemental spirits1 of the world, and not according to Christ.

For lour appeal does not spring from merror or nimpurity or oany attempt to deceive,

Little children, olet no one deceive you. pWhoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.
