8  He has told you, O man, what is good;

and ^cwhat does the Lord require of you

but to do ^djustice, and to love kindness,¹

and to walk humbly with your God?

18  ^xWho is a God like you, ^ypardoning iniquity

and passing over transgression

for the ^zremnant of his inheritance?

^aHe does not retain his anger forever,

because he delights in steadfast love.
