The Birth of Jesus Christ

18 Now the birth of uJesus Christ1 took place in this way. vWhen his mother Mary had been betrothed2 to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child wfrom the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 8:8–10

But the centurion replied, Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but lonly say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, Go, and he goes, and to another, Come, and he comes, and to my servant,1 Do this, and he does it. 10 When Jesus heard this, mhe marveled and said to those who followed him, Truly, I tell you, with nno one in Israel2 have I found such faith.


Matthew 8:24–26

24 And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but ghe was asleep. 25 And they went and woke him, saying, hSave us, Lord; we are perishing. 26 And he said to them, Why are you iafraid, jO you of little faith? Then he rose and krebuked the winds and the sea, and lthere was a great calm.


Matthew 11:27

27 mAll things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son nexcept the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone oto whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
