21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ^a‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’

18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, ^v“You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,

9 For the commandments, ^b“You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: ^c“You shall ^dlove your neighbor as yourself.”

5 And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: ^afrom every beast I will require it and from man. ^bFrom his fellow man I will ^crequire a reckoning for the life of man.

15 ^bEveryone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
