19 Go therefore and mmake disciples of nall nations, baptizing them in1 the oname of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am pwith you always, to the end of the age.”
A Living Sacrifice
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers,1 by the mercies of God, to lpresent your bodies as a mliving sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.2 2 nDo not be conformed to this world,3 but be otransformed by the prenewal of your mind, that by testing you may qdiscern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.4
Confirm Your Calling and Election
3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him dwho called us to1 his own glory and eexcellence,2 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and fvery great promises, so that through them you may become gpartakers of the divine nature, having hescaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with ivirtue,3 and jvirtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with klove. 8 For if these qualities4 are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or lunfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is mblind, having forgotten that he was ncleansed from his former sins. 10 Therefore, brothers,5 obe all the more diligent to pconfirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never qfall. 11 For in this way there will be richly provided for you an rentrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
