Jesus Delivered to Pilate

1 ^cWhen morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.

6 The Pharisees went out and immediately held counsel with the ^tHerodians against him, ^uhow to destroy him.

18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and were seeking a way ^bto destroy him, for they feared him, because all the crowd was ^castonished at his teaching.

Jesus Is Equal with God

18 This was why the Jews were ^pseeking all the more ^qto kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, ^rmaking himself ^sequal with God.
