Matthew 2:17–18

17 aThen was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:

18  bA voice was heard in Ramah,

weeping and loud lamentation,

Rachel weeping for her children;

she refused to be comforted, because they care no more.


Matthew 4:13–15

13 And leaving pNazareth he went and lived in qCapernaum by rthe sea, in the territory of sZebulun and Naphtali, 14 tso that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

15  uThe land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,

the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles


Matthew 13:35

35 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet:1

fI will open my mouth in parables;

gI will utter what has been hidden hsince the foundation of the world.


Matthew 21:4–5

This took place tto fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying,

uSay to the daughter of Zion,

Behold, your king is coming to you,

vhumble, and mounted on a donkey,

on a colt,1 the foal of a beast of burden.


Matthew 27:9–10

jThen was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, kAnd they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel, 10 and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.
