13 ^rFor all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John,

39 ^vYou search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and ^wit is they that bear witness about me,

46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for ^hhe wrote of me.

25 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 ^kWas it not necessary that ^lthe Christ should suffer these things and enter into ^mhis glory?” 27 And ⁿbeginning with ^oMoses and ^pall the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

44 Then he said to them, ^k“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, ^lthat everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then ^mhe opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus ⁿit is written, ^othat the Christ should suffer and on the third day ^prise from the dead, 47 and that ^qrepentance for¹ the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed ^rin his name ^sto all nations, ^tbeginning from Jerusalem. 48 ^uYou are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending ^vthe promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you ^ware clothed with ^xpower ^yfrom on high.”

10 Concerning this salvation, ^xthe prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring ^ywhat person or time^{1 z}the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating ^awhen he predicted ^bthe sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 ^cIt was revealed to them that ^dthey were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you ^eby the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, ^fthings into which angels long to look.

The Supremacy of God’s Son

1 Long ago, at many times and ^ain many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but ^bin these last days ^che has spoken to us by ^dhis Son, whom he appointed ^ethe heir of all things, ^fthrough whom also he created ^gthe world.
